April 2016 - AFS Consultants provide training for Peel Ports Group Managers.

AFS Consultants are delighted to have be chosen by Peel Ports Group to deliver training to five newly recruited Group Port Control Shift Managers. The comprehensive training package involved local knowledge training for the ports of Liverpool, Medway, Clydeport and Heysham and the development of a "local knowledge handbook" for each port. AFS Consultants also developed a Training Record Book and Workbook to compliment the training and assist in information gathering during port visits.

On completion of the local knowledge element of their training the Group Port Control Shift Managers received additional Nautical Knowledge and VTS V103/1 (VTS Operator) training from AFS Consultants in collaboration with South Tyneside College.

AFS Consultants Director, Captain Frank Walker said "AFS Consultants are absolutely delighted to be involved in this exciting new project that will eventually see the five Group Port Control Shift Managers overseeing the day to day operation of a centralised Group Port Operations Control Room in Liverpool".
