Effective communication is essential for business success. Whether interacting with the general public, customers or even co-workers, memorable and dynamic business communication requires a series of "live performances" every day. Success in this area requires good listening skills, clarity of intention and the ability to think on one's feet.
VTS Communication Training focuses on communicating ideas in clear and effective ways. It shows participants how to integrate humour into everyday business communication, whether in management, sales, marketing or customer service. This training promotes confidence-building and the sense of physical self that helps increase comfort levels in areas like public speaking, meetings and/or presentations.
Sample Activity
This activity will require participants to break out into groups of four. Two people are carrying on a normal every day work scenario, while the other two people are required to provide arms (they achieve this by standing behind their partner and sticking their arms underneath the person's arms, the person who is talking puts their hands in their pockets). After a few minutes everyone switches roles.
This activity works on listening, and being aware of hand gestures for the person providing the arms. The person providing dialogue is put into a position where they have to justify some of the gestures from their partner and at the same time play out the scenario.
