This unique program offers a compelling and challenging project for any new or existing team. You will explore the dynamics of team, project management and creativity though the process of making a movie. Focal issues include budget, resource allocation and change management. The entire team will work together as writers led by the director and producer.
Day One:
- Learning about creativity through improvisation
- The film process
- The equipment
- Shooting the movie
Day Two:
- Editing
- Viewing the movie
- Exploring successes and challenges
- Identifying transferables
Over the course of the two-day workshop, your team will consider issues of budget, team dynamics, resource allocation and change management as well as a host of other issues.The afternoon of Day Two is spent without professional VTS Training Facilitator.The program's built in flexibility allows for focus on particular issues as required and may be abbreviated to a one day workshop to create a 30 second commercial.
You Provide:
A Producer: The project manager, ultimately responsible for the successful completion of the project.
Key area of decision making: resource allocation and budget
A Director: The implementer, responsible for the artistic and minute by minute process of the shooting portion of the project.
Key area of decision making: creative
A Camera Operator: A doer, responsible for the technical visuals and picture composition.
Key area of decision making: picture composition and focusing
2 Actors: Doers, responsible for story and on-camera performances.
Key area of decision making: creating the characters and story
2-3 Production Assistants: Helpers, assigned to the Producer and may be delegated to work with others in a support capacity.
