First courses delivered in Middle East under new contract with major ports group.

Following the award of a contract to supply VTS Training in the United Arab Emirates to Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC), two of our consultants recently completed the inaugural training mission. Candidates received IALA module 4 Nautical Knowledge training and went onto experience the IALA V103/1 Underpinning Knowledge and VTS simulator training in a new Kongsberg VTS simulation suite.

Our consultants also assisted ADPC gain Competent Authority accreditation from the UAE NTA for VTS training. In addition, the consultants were able to support the ADPC training institution with their successful audit process for Lloyds Register.

As part of the same mission, AFS Consultants also delivered STCW Human Element in Leadership and Management (HELM) training at operational level (O) to candidates.
